Designing For Pleasurable Products 2013 [DPPI]
The Designing Pleasurable Products and Interfaces conference is a leading venue for designers, artists, psychologists, systems engineers, social scientists and many more to come together to debate and define future design research and practice. The theme of this year’s conference is Praxis and Poetics. With this theme we reflect on a decade of the DPPI conference series and celebrate great diversity of research on the pleasures, emotions, and experiences of technology and how these perspectives feed into design practice.
As an interdisciplinary venue, DPPI welcomes submissions from a broad range of disciplinary backgrounds including: design, human-computer interaction, engineering, the arts and humanities, social science and psychology. We call for the submission of a broad range of research outcomes related to the experiential, emotional and aesthetic qualities of design as it relates to graphical, tangible and wearable interfaces. Specifically, however, we encourage submissions addressing the diversity of poetics in design, such as:
This year's conference is hosted by Northumbria University (UK) and will be held on the riverbanks of the Tyne in the glorious BALTIC, Centre for Contemporary Art between the 3-5 of September 2013.

GREEN MUSEUM
This online museum emerged from our own experiences making environmental art and from seeing firsthand some of the challenges facing artists, community groups, nonprofit organizations and arts institutions when it came to presenting and discussing environmental art.
More than a museum, we see greenmuseum.org as a giant collaborative art-making tool. We hope you find it useful, friendly and easy to navigate. If you have any information you'd like us to know about or publish please let us know. Thank you!
(We are a 100% volunteer-based organization)

Integrating Art and Education for Sustainable Development:
Student Seminars in Context of a Transdisciplinary Cooperation Project.
Summary:
In the centre of this paper will be a project that has been designed on the basis of a transdisciplinary research paradigm. It brings together art, practical contexts of higher education and Sustainable Development as its leitmotif. Different perspectives and imparted forms of specific knowledge of the participating players will be analysed. How can cultural perspectives of Education for Sustainable Development contribute to its implementation and effectiveness? What distinguishes working concepts and processes in the context of ESD from others? Which further research interests and working processes may ensue such a project? We will discuss these questions focussing on student seminars in contexts of teacher education and realized ESD projects in a primary school.
